Girl with a Pearl Earring by Johannes Vermeer
A couple of girlfriends and I are talking about a day trip to New York, which is very exciting! It would be my friend's 30th birthday. Having been a few times, I was looking online for things to do. Since I studied art history for six years, I searched future exhibitions. One of my favorite paintings, Girl with a Pearl Earring by Vermeer will be at the Frick ...the day after! Specifically, the exhibition runs from October 22, 2013 through January 19, 2014. So... if anyone wants to visit New York and stop by this museum to see it with me, let me know! I also love the novel of the same title by one of my favorite authors Tracy Chevalier. I may be living in Philadelphia by then and it'd be a shorter commute! I've never been to the Frick Collection.
