Style Sunday: Fresh Flowers

I want to begin with a sincere apology for not posting regularly lately. I'm sorry. I've been busy. It turns out the manager at my part-time job had a heart attack and was in need of surgery, so she has been out since my last post over three weeks ago. Plus, they're currently filling a full-time vacancy there. As a result, I've been working between 57 and 65 hours a week at both jobs lately. I haven't had a day off in awhile. It was much more exhausting while sick.

Also, I've felt uninspired. I have been simply going through the motions lately. Since this is a European lifestyle blog, I feel like I am part of the blogging community devoted to living mindfully and intentionally, appreciating the small things and beauty in everyday life. Instead of practicing what I preach, I've just been doing what I have to do to get through the day, but now, I'm ready to return to my old ways, even if I do still have a heavy workload. I've had fun this weekend. And I am looking forward to upcoming plans, taking some time off for a day trip in a week and my birthday in just over three weeks. More on all that later.

I adore having fresh flowers in my home. I picked up these pretty pink tulips on Friday night...



I arranged this vase, another smaller glass vase half full of pink-wrapped Easter candy and two stacks of books on my coffee table.
